MTS is a native Mac workspace for humans and coding agents. It brings together project plans, agent conversations, workflows, and a compact view of ongoing work. MTS stands for Member of Technical Staff. The app uses m2 as its product mark.
Use your existing Codex subscription. Choose Sign in with ChatGPT to use an eligible account’s Codex access. MTS supports multiple ChatGPT accounts, with manual switching and automatic switching for eligible usage-limit failures. The built-in integration currently does not support API billing or other providers’ subscriptions, such as Claude Code. Manage accounts, or request another provider.

From an idea to a result

  1. Capture an idea in a project’s collection.
  2. Move it into the Roadmap and mark its scope as a task.
  3. Ask a teammate to work on it.
  4. Follow its steps and respond to questions or approval requests in Work.
Embedded teammates require a separately installed Codex runtime; account availability, limits, and workspace policies apply.

Bring your own agent

You can also use MTS without its built-in Codex integration. Connect your existing coding agent through MCP to read project plans and work on tasks with the permissions you grant. You do not need to sign in to ChatGPT in MTS for this route. The external agent supplies its own runtime, provider, and billing arrangement.
